NACDA reveals new logo; launches re-designed website

July 6, 2015

CLEVELAND — The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics hinted at the 50th Anniversary Convention in Orlando, Fla. last month that change was on the horizon.

On Monday, the Association officially released a new set of logos and a branding style guide, together with a newly redesigned website in advance of the 2015-16 membership year.

NACDA's new primary logo features a stylized torch that exhibits elements of the original mark and serves as a symbol of what the Association represents as it embarks on the next 50 years.

"After celebrating our 50th anniversary, we felt a brand overhaul was a great way to usher in a new era of NACDA," said Executive Director Bob Vecchione. "As NACDA's position in the intercollegiate marketplace continues to evolve, we wanted to have our brand reflect that evolution. Our leadership felt that the bold simplicity of the flame allows us to accomplish that."

The logo is prominently featured on the newly designed website for NACDA and its affiliate associations. Designed by NACDA corporate sponsor CBSi Advanced Media, the new-look nacda.com features a responsive design to easily allow users to view content on all types of devices.
